There is no health without mental health. Refresh - Rx Foundation would like to be the forerunner in creating awareness for the inclusion of mental health and well-being interventions in all aspect of primary and specialist health care organizations, corporate, religious and educational institutions.

Refresh-RX Foundation wants to be the number one voice for the voiceless on mental health and wellbeing. We champion support for those with lived experience, advocate for more screening, better treatment, and more access to care. We fight stigma and champion human rights.
We also advocate and actively spearhead innovative treatment and/or best practices in managing patients with lived experience mental illness. We also champion the human rights of people with poor well-being and fight to deal with stigmatization, self-stigmatization and the factors that makes one vulnerable to it.

Refresh - Rx Foundation believes that information drives change. Conducting research in the area of mental health, bringing to bare the reality and hard-core facts of mental health and well-being. This will make it very easy for good-minded people, organizations, and the government to support mental health. Currently only 2% of the 13% of Ghanaians diagnosed with mental illness have access to some form of treatment.

Refresh-Rx Foundation seeks to empower the whole nation and beyond, with the knowledge, skills and capacity to support anyone who may have a challenge with their mental health and well-being.
This will be achieved by spearheading the training of health professionals in best practice management of patients with mental ill health or poor well-being. We will engage key stakeholders (corporate, educational, religious, governmental and non-governmental institutions) in the fight against poor mental health through capacity building workshops. We will build the national capacity to respond to the wellness of the nation.

The quality of relationships has an effect on our mental health. Our perception of self and the world have an effect on our mental health and well-being and ultimately impacts on our social and occupational functioning. Dysfunctional homes and toxic environment have detrimental effects on our mental health and well-being. We will partner with individuals and organizations championing quality relationships, behaviour change programs, marriage and relationship improvement programs and positive self-esteem.
Why the name and colours?
We are Refresh - Rx because we want to bring a refreshing solution or angle to solving the problems that confront us. We want to promote happiness, vitality, intelligence as portrayed by our yellow colour. And creativity, optimism and friendliness as seen in our orange colour.
