Prepared for: Board of Directors, Partners, and Donors
Refresh‑RX Foundation is a faith‑informed, evidence‑based non‑profit organization committed to improving learning, mental health, and wellbeing outcomes for children and families in underserved communities. This 10‑Year Strategic Plan (2026–2035) provides a clear roadmap for moving from direct service delivery to systems‑level influence. It integrates academic remediation, mental health advocacy, leadership development, maternal mental health promotion, and institutional strengthening to deliver sustainable, measurable impact. Over the next decade, the Foundation will deepen community‑level impact while shaping national conversations and practice around learning recovery, family wellbeing, and faith‑based social transformation.
Refresh‑RX Foundation operates as a registered non‑profit organization governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Board provides strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, policy guidance, and accountability.
The Foundation was established in response to persistent learning failure, untreated mental health challenges, and fragmented support systems affecting children and families, particularly in marginalized and underserved communities.
Many children struggle academically not due to low ability, but because of poor foundational literacy and numeracy, trauma, poverty, toxic stress, limited parental support, and untreated mental health challenges. These factors are interlinked and require integrated responses.
Key stakeholders include schools, churches and faith‑based institutions, health facilities, community leaders, government agencies, NGOs, donors, and corporate partners.
If underserved children receive targeted academic remediation, families receive mental health awareness and support, communities are equipped through advocacy, and leaders are formed with strong values and resilience, then learning outcomes, wellbeing, and long‑term social impact will improve. Key assumptions include community willingness to engage, sustained partnerships, and an enabling policy environment.
Implementation will be delivered through partnerships with schools, churches, health facilities, NGOs, government agencies, and corporate partners.
The Foundation will implement a robust MEL framework including baseline, midline, and endline assessments; routine monitoring dashboards; annual learning reports; and external evaluations at mid‑term and end‑term.
The strategy is supported by costed budgets aligned to each pillar and a diversified funding approach including grants, corporate CSR, faith‑based partnerships, fee‑for‑service activities, and fundraising campaigns.
Clear governance structures, defined management roles, financial controls, safeguarding policies, and risk management systems will guide implementation and accountability.
Key risks include funding gaps, community resistance, operational strain, and policy changes. Mitigation strategies include phased implementation, diversified funding, strong partnerships, and continuous learning.
The Foundation will use media platforms, advocacy campaigns, donor reporting, and public engagement initiatives to share impact, learning, and accountability.
A rolling two‑year operational plan will guide implementation, detailing activities, timelines, responsibilities, and budgets.
Over the next decade, Refresh‑RX Foundation commits to transforming how communities understand learning, mental health, leadership, and faith‑based social impact, ensuring children and families are supported to learn, heal, and thrive.
